We understand that once you have found a puppy you wish to adopt, you want to meet that puppy as quickly as possible.  We do everything possible to expedite the adoption process.

The following is a list of items that must be completed:

  1. Completed adoption application
  2. Phone Interview
  3. Reference checks
  4. Veterinary check
  5. Home visit

In most cases we bring the puppy with us for your home visit.  We feel it is important that you meet the puppy in your home environment as this allows you to meet the puppy and see how the puppy will react to you, your family, and any other pets.  Many people tell us that it is as difficult to adopt a puppy from us as it is a child.  This means we are doing our job correctly as we believe in only finding the best homes for our puppies.  We feel it is very important that our puppies are a new member of the family and we want to ensure that this is the puppy's permanent home.  We know that there are times that things change in everyone's life, which is why we will always take our puppies back.

We currently only adopt to homes within 30 miles of Albany and Hudson, New York and adopt to Albany, Greene, Rensselaer and Columbia County.  We will also adopt to Pittsfield, MA and Kent, CT.  If you feel you should be an exception to these areas, please feel free to contact us.

Please note that you must have a fenced in yard and that we do not consider electric fences of any kind.  If you have questions about this policy, please feel free to contact us directly.

Our adoption donation is $250

This includes all vet care (as age appropriate).  If you adopt a puppy from us that is not spayed/neutered, we have a spay/neuter contract that requires the puppy be altered by a specific date.  This contract includes a $100 deposit that is refunded once we receive proof of alteration.  We no longer do pediatric spays and neuters due to the long term health implications.

If you have any questions, please feel free to contact us.
