Scarlett and her puppies are thriving in their foster home.  In mid June they will go in pairs to new foster homes.   They will be ready for their new forever homes at the beginning of July.

When no one else offered to take this dog in, we knew we could not let her die.  One woman actually drove right after a root canal in an attempt to save her before this whole family was put to sleep!

Luckily with the help of some wonderful new friends, Scarlett and her family were saved. The vet even could not believe how a dog so skinny and so full of worms was able to keep 7 puppies alive.  But Scarlett has overcome so much to keep her babies alive and is a wonderful mom!  Scarlett is a boxer mix that when healthy, we believe she will weigh about 45-50 pounds.  Her babies are all different colors and there are 4 boys and 3 girls. Scarlett and her babies are now in foster care with us.  Our wonderful foster mom is a nurse and she and her 2 children are taking excellent care of Scarlett and her babies.  They are making sure that Scarlett and her babies have everything they need, including the love and care they clearly have never received before.  If all goes well, everyone will be ready for their new homes in July.     If you are interested in fostering or adopting Scarlett or her puppies, please feel free to submit an application or contact us.  Thank you!
