Frequently Asked Questions:
-
Why is a home visit required?
-
This is the time where we bring the dog to your home. It allows you a chance to meet the dog, as well as providing us with an opportunity to see how the dog interacts with you, your family and any other pets you may have at your home.
-
Why is there a distance limit?
-
We are all volunteers that work full time jobs. Unfortunately we simply do not have enough people to do long distance home visits. You are welcome to submit an application and we can determine if we have someone in your area that can complete a home visit for us.

What questions should we be asking?
-
Even if you are not adopting from us, it is important that you ask as many questions as the rescue group asks of you. It is very important that whatever dog you are interested in has been fostered locally for a minimum of two weeks. This allows for two things: 1. Allows for a quarantine time after the puppy arrives. Any puppy traveling to our area can be exposed to any number of diseases, no matter how careful anyone may be during the transport. 2. It allows for the foster family to determine the puppy's personality and be able to provide you with a full description of the puppy. This also assists with matching the dog with the most appropriate home given its personality.
We consider ourselves a resource for our community. Even if you are not adopting from us, please feel free to contact us with any questions that you may have during your search for your new dog.
