Help Orphan Puppies is a rescue organization dedicated entirely to puppies.  We accept all puppies into our program, regardless of abuse, injuries or medical needs, or breed.  We believe that all puppies should be given an equal chance and most behavior problems later in life can be attributed to people, not the breed.  Our puppies are allowed to develop and grow at their own pace.  We do not place a time limit on our puppies, rather placing them when they are ready for their "forever home".  All puppies are raised with people and others dogs of all sizes.  We crate train all of our puppies.  By not having too many puppies at one time, we learn their personalities and therefore are better able to match them with perspective adopters. 

Please note that all puppies are in one of our local foster homes a minimum of two weeks, but generally most puppies stay at least 4 weeks.  We feel it is very important that we know our puppies and their personalities before finding them a forever home.  It is also very important that all puppies are quarantined, not only at the location where they are coming from but also that they are quarantined again locally a minimum of 2 weeks as puppies can catch various illnesses on the transport when making their way to our area.  All of our puppies are seen by a veterinarian and are up to date on their medical care as appropriate per their age.

June 2008 UPDATE:  Due to the current state of our economy, home foreclosures and the increasing number of dogs being surrendered to local shelters, we will no longer be bringing in dogs from outside our area.  We feel this is the only responsible thing to do at this time given the current circumstances.  Please feel free to visit our link to view the current dogs that are in our program.  If you do not see the type of dog that you are interested in adopting, please feel free to contact us and we will happily recommend other reputable rescue groups in our area.  Please feel free to contact us with any questions.
